Gilly Loco™ Chicken Chile Verde Taquitos

Today’s recipe is not for the faint of heart or those on a diet. Gilly Loco Chicken Chile Verde Taquitos. Delicious and with Gilly Loco Chile Verde added to it, even better! Assemble the ingredients-

  • 1 ½-2 lbs Rotisserie or Roasted chicken breast, shredded
  • 8 oz. Gilly Loco Chile Verde™
  • 8 oz. Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • 1 package of 24 yellow or white corn tortillas
  • Oil, for frying (any high temperature oil, peanut, canola, vegetable, corn, etc.)

Method of cooking-

  1. Mix chicken, cheese and Gilly Loco Chile Verde™ well in a mixing bowl.
  2. Heat oil to 350°F in a cast iron skillet or deep fryer.
  3. Dip, or ‘wet’, all tortillas in heated oil. Set aside.
  4. One at a time, place about 4 oz. of the chicken mixture in the tortilla and roll to form taquito. 
  5. Secure your taquito with a toothpick.
  6. Working in batches, place about 6 taquitos into fryer basket depending on size of fryer. Do not overload fryer. Each taquito should have room to cook.
  7. Deep fry taquitos until golden brown about 3-5 minutes per batch.


  1. Serve with sour cream and your favorite Gilly Loco™ salsas. 
  2. You may also serve with Gilly Loco™ Guacamole and Gilly Loco™ Chile Con Queso. See recipe for more ideas and recipes.


  • Add more or less chicken, cheese and chile depending on your preferences.
  • Also try shredded beef and Gilly Loco Red Chili Sauce™ in place of the Chicken and Gilly Loco Chile Verde™ for a different flavor combination.
  • Make taquitos in large batches, they freeze really well!
